My sheep hear my voice and a strangers they will not fallow.
Seven keys to live as a deciple
1. Live a life of intiment relationship with God.
This is where you will recieve the oil in your lamp to keep shinning the light of heaven everywhere you go. It is at Jesus' feet where we find Mary Magdalen. She is the one that had 7 deamons cast out of her, and Jesus showed himself to her after He was reserected. She was the one that anointed Jesus for his burial. Jesus recieved a kings burial because of what she did there. Jesus said where ever this gospel of the Kingdom is preached. Let this testimony be told of what she has done as a memorial unto her. Why is this so important. Jesus wants us to know that without spending time with Him in the secret place that there is no way his purpose and plan for our lives here on earth will be fulfilled. To be forgiven much the same will love much. Mary had a good idea of the sin that was forgiven. She had a repentant heart and desired God above all else. She was anointed by God for her own burial. When we spend time in secret with our Heavenly Father in Prayer or in Fasting, we give place for him to anoint us with His oil of gladness for our own burial. A lamp without oil burns out and the light fails to shine. We were created in God's own image and likeness and He is the Father of light in whom the is no darkness or shadow of turning.
How does the light shine in the darkness? Love. God is love. Those that live in love, live in God, and God lives in them. How is love made manifest? The Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, pacients, kindness, goodness, gentleness, meekness ( Humility) Tepmorance (self control)
2. Trust and Obey God. If we are going to recieve anything from God then we must terminate that part of us that is double minded. Jesus tells us the way to have a single mind (the mind of Christ). We are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (not our own) and all these things shall be added unto you. In this promise the work of our hands is blessed by God. He goes before us. We are actually able to abide in His rest in the midst of our work because it is actually the Spirit of God quickening our mortal flesh to accomplish what God's perfect will is. He who's mind is stayed on God shall be in perfect peace. Let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing. You will keep your salvation through patience. As He is so are we in this world. To trust God often requires for us to walk by faith. We are to risk somthing. Often it is our very life that is at steak, and God wants us to trust Him. God's word is to be trusted above our circumstances. If we are sick or dealing with sickness often the way to recieve our healing is in faith. We can stand on God's word but we first need to hear him speak. He speeks to us many ways but it is often from our solarplexes (Gut feeling) still small voice. Be still and know that I am God. We know the truth but to belive the truth instead of the lie is often difficult because we are caught up in our own flesh. We are to walk by the spirit and not after the flesh if we are indeed born again. Being born again means that we now have a new heavenly identity. We have died to self (the flesh) and have been birthed into a new creation in Christ Jesus) when we recieve the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord, and savior, God sends us the Holy Spirit to begin the birthing process. That birthing process can take some time. Some longer than others. Once we yeild to the Holy Spirit then the birthing can happen. Jesus says to ask and we will recieve, seek and we will find, and knock and the door will be opened. If we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will God our Heavenly Father give us the Holy Spirit to those who ask. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is recieved with the evidance of speaking in other tongues. This is our prayer language with God. When we pray in the spirit we are allowing the Holy Spirit to interceed on our behalf and pray the perfect will of God over our lives. Praying in the spirit also helps us hear from God on things that we are to pray about.
3. Be a lover of God's Word. When we follow the good shepard we walk according to His word because we are in communication with Him and can hear his voice. The word of God is quick and powerful. Sharper than any double edged sward, even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joint and marrow, and is a discerner of the thaughts and intents of the heart.
4. Do Justly. This short but simple statment is powerful in its application. If justice is to prevail over injustice then we are to love the correction, rebuke, and the training in righteousness through the fear of the Lord ( Honor and respect towards God for who He is. Our Loving Heavenly Father.) The correction and chasening of the Lord is part of His grace that calls the sinner to repentance. If we allow injustice it is as though we do not care and are saying we have no love for you. Do what ever you want. We are not to Judge but to allow for the Judgment of God to prevail.
5. Love Mercy. Be ye merciful even as your Heavenly Father is merciful. For he is meek and lowly at heart. He is full of grace. Tender hearted to the lost and broken hearted. His love overcomes a multitude of sins and His perfect love casts out fear.
6. Walk Humbly. Walking in humility is walking as a child of God knowing who you are and that he knows you because you trust Him. You are to be in constant union with God as his child walking in His love for your neighbor, or brother or any one that needs to recieve his love in this life for a transformation to happen people need to encounter the Love of God. This will only happen around you if you are walking in humility. Because love does not boast in itself, or puffed up,( not prideful in any way)
7. Yeild to Holy Spirit. To yeild we are to consider that the price of Jesus Christ on the cross was worth our lives. We are to die to our own selves daily and live for Christ. Pick up our cross and follow Him. Yeild is a great word because there are other outside things working in the spirit relm that we do not see. If we do not yeild we are leaving an open door to the enemy to attack and distroy in our lives. What the devil intended for wickedness God can turn to use for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpouse.
